Coopersville Knocks out RCA Champion Kenowa Hills for Second Straight Year

For the second time in as many years, Coopersville defeated Kenowa Hills in the opening round of the MHSAA playoffs. In both seasons, the Broncos lost a close matchup in the regular season, only to take commanding victories in the post season.

Coopersville opened with an extended drive that saw multiple fourth down conversions and first-half timeouts. They wouldn’t need much more after that as the Broncos defense swarmed the Knight rushing attack and had a secondary of ball hawks that netted four interceptions. The Knights got on the board with a few minutes remaining to negate the shutout, but the Broncos advanced 42-7 to play East Grand Rapids (a rematch of the Bronco victory in 2023) in round 2.
