Wyoming Tops South Christian in Varsity Baseball Doubleheader

GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Wyoming High School’s varsity baseball team secured a sweep over South Christian on Thursday, March 27, prevailing in both games of a home doubleheader in a hotly contested non-conference matchup. Wyoming ultimately won the varsity contest, continuing a strong season start for the Wolves  .

According to the West Michigan OK Gold baseball schedule, Wyoming took the opening game 4–3 in extra innings, followed by a 2–2 draw in the second game that concluded after the second inning due to league scheduling rules or weather-related constraints  .

While the varsity fielded a defeat in the first game, South Christian’s junior varsity teams delivered impressive performances earlier that same day. The JV Sailors rolled to a dominant 15–0 win in game one, highlighted by a 10-run first inning spark, and followed up with a 7–5 win in game two, showing grit to hold off Wyoming’s late push  .
