Instead, the Wildcats were left with the cruel reality of March basketball: sometimes a season defined by grit and belief can still end one possession short.

Northview fell to conference rival Rockford in a gut-wrenching Elite Eight battle, a game that swung back and forth all night before the Rams escaped in the closing moments to advance to the MHSAA Division 1 Final Four.
