Senior Mallory Wandel led the attack with 12 kills, showing her experience and poise in a high-pressure playoff setting. Meanwhile, Izzie Delacher orchestrated the offense expertly, chipping in with 27 assists

For Rockford: The Rams improve to an outstanding 46-1-1 on the season. Their quarterfinal victory marks a major step toward a potential state championship, and their form suggests they’re peaking at just the right time.

  • For Traverse City Central: The Trojans’ season ends here with a 34-10 record.  Despite a strong year, they couldn’t find an answer for Rockford’s balance of power and precision.
  • For the Tournament: Rockford’s momentum makes them a serious contender in the semis. Their ability to execute under pressure could be a deciding factor in the remaining rounds.

Rockford will now move on to the next round of the MHSAA tournament. If they maintain their level of play, they may well be on a run to the finals.
