Kent City Bests Belding in Historic Victory

In a spirited postseason matchup on Friday, November 7 2025, the Kent City Eagles clinched a key playoff victory over the Belding Black Knights, winning 24-16 and advancing in the MHSAA Division 6 bracket.

The contest was hosted at Belding’s home field, where Kent City came in undefeated at 11-0, while Belding entered with a 9-2 mark.  Kent City jumped ahead early and maintained enough of a lead throughout to keep Belding at bay, securing the 24-16 show of resilience and execution.  The win underscores Kent City’s dominance this season and demonstrates their capability to perform under playoff pressure.

For Kent City, this victory isn’t just another win, it’s an important milestone in their postseason journey. It also marks the team’s first district championship in school history. With an unblemished record and now a playoff win under their belt, the Eagles are firmly positioned as a serious contender in Division 6.
